The Failing Airline Industry

As the holidays are approaching, you are no doubt looking at the rising cost of airline tickets. These bad boys are just getting more and more expensive, just like everything else in our less-than-great economy. Airlines seem to be concerned with ripping off the customers than giving them reliable and the service we all deserve. Because of this, it makes me wonder if they are letting their planes go into disrepair. If so, they should really hire LiveWire to check for electrical problems.

I just came across this extensive and straight-to-the-point article about the failing airline industry. The author goes through and names the five fatal mistake all larger airlines have made and are still making. It is really quite interesting. Take a look.

Fox Sports Presents…

Whether you have been on vacation or just haven’t had time to keep up with the sport’s world, take a look at the following list. This is taken from Fox Sports’ top ten moments gallery. But I am just going to list three of them. If you want the whole list, click here. So, sit back, relax, and enjoy the info.

10. “Alex Brown stopped Correll Buckhalter on this goal-line stand late in the game, preserving Chicago’s 24-20.”

9. “That suspension for punching a teammate in the preseason is behind Steve Smith and so are the Atlanta defenders as the Carolina wideout scores a 56-yard TD to give the Panthers a 14-6 lead in the second quarter.”

8. “It’s been a long road back to the field for Saints RB Deuce McAllister, who is playing on two reconstructed knees. In his first extensive action since returning from injury, McAllister scored his first touchdown since 2006 in the fourth quarter to clinch a win over the pesky 49ers.”

There you have it. Now all you have to do is apply this information and the performance of the individual player either to free NFL picks or your fantasy football league.

Vacation Coming? Get In Shape!

Whether your vacation is only a few months away or it is about a year from now, get in shape now so you can have the best experience possible. Nothing is more annoying than trying to site-see and not being able to keep up with the rest of your group or getting too worn out and not wanting to finish seeing what you came to see. If you prepare yourself now by building your health and your endurance, you’ll have a much better vacation.  This happened to me twice: when I went to Disneyland and when I went to Mississippi for vacation. I would have been able to have even more fun on both of those trips if I had worked out prior. So, my next vacation is coming up relatively soon and I’ve been working out like crazy so that I will be able to enjoy every aspect of the vacation. I’ve also been taking the Akavar weight loss pill to give me that boost. Soon, I’ll be a lean, sight-seeing machine!

Keep The Business Running While On Vacation

Many small business owners forfeit their vacations in order to keep the company thriving with constant monitoring and care. Even though sometimes this is true, most of the time businesses won’t fall apart if you leave for a weekend. If you really want to take all the precautions before you leave, consider taking the following measures:

  • Put someone in charge that you trust. And it helps if they are qualified too. Putting someone in charge that you trust will help you be able to enjoy your vacation, and finally get to relax.
  •  Get everything that only you can do completed before you leave. Pretty self-explanatory.
  • Sometimes when a boss isn’t there, employees sort of “forget” to follow procedures and protocols. Some of them love to take short-cuts. This can be a problem if you deal with sensitive documents–which, if mishandled, can lead to litigation. Information tracking is probably one of the best ways to monitor it while you are relaxing far away from the workplace.

Enjoy your vacation!

Summer Trip Ideas

Summer Vacation Must-Haves

Just like in  most of our previous posts, summer vacations are a must. And on top of that, there are summer essentials that are completely necessary (depending on where you will be spending your glorious, sun-laden summer) for your trip. Here are just a few.

  • Bee Hat: A bee hat may seem silly, but nothing would be worse than relaxing outdoors and get stung by a bee. Plus it keeps other bugs away too. What is not perfect about that?

  • Hiking Sandals:  This way, you can enjoy the rough outdoors without getting a funny sock and hiking boot tan line.

  • Outdoor Backpack: All the convenience of being able to take everything with you while looking great.

  • Beach Lounge Chair: But then again, I am just partial to this sort of summer vacation.

  • Sunscreen: Of course! How could we leave this off the list?

Enjoy your summer! I know I will!

Summer Vacay?

Summer is coming! Finally! And we all know that when summer comes, vacation starts calling our names…loudly and constantly. So have you decided where you are going this summer for your yearly vacation? If you have, please share them with us (so we can steal your great ideas, of course). And if you haven’t decided yet, take a look at my top ideas for my personal summer vacay (If you really want, feel free to steal mine. It is all for the taking!).

  •  Road trip: Who doesn’t love a road trip? You can make this a long across the country trip or just a few hour trip to your favorite spot. To make it the best trip ever, make sure you pack yummy snacks and fantastic music. And of course, take some people you get along with and actually enjoy being with. That is going to make all the difference. Also, before you go, make sure you discuss and plan out your trip, including how to pay for gas, food, and lodging. Splitting it up evenly is probably your best bet.

  • Camping: This is always a summer favorite. This takes just as much preparation as a road trip–usually. Again, bring great food and great friends and family. Have fun, enjoy nature, and enjoy each other. If you get bored easily, make sure to pick a spot that has things to do (lake, hiking opportunities, and anything else that could be fun).

  • National Parks: There are so many to choose from, it will be a tough decision. First, decide if you want to stay near your home or travel across a few states in order to get the whole experience. Find a state that has many to offer that are relatively close by. One state that is brimming with great things to do is Utah. Utah parks and recreation is great for the whole family because of the diversity of landscape. If you decide to go to Utah for your vacation, try Goblin Valley in Southern Utah. It will blow your mind.

So again, please share your summer vacay ideas. We would all love to hear them (and maybe pilfer them). Whatever you choose to do this summer, just make sure that you have a blast.

A New Approach

It seems that lately most of our posts have to do with business and still being able to take a vacation. But here is a little different approach. A lot of companies take company photos in order to market themselves and to show the friendly ambiance of the employees and the workplace. Why not go on a company trip (Yes, everyone!) and hire a photographer to capture it all. Then use that for some marketing material. For example, if your company is an outdoorsy type of business (sells hiking gear or trail mix), go to where you can do just that or use your product. Why not hire a Utah business photographer to come with you and document the fun in the mountains. Your customers will get to see that your company is full of real people, just like them.

No Worries

Warmer weather is here (unless, of course, you live in my state). With warmer weather, comes vacation–that need to get away for a little bit. But many people have issues leaving work–especially if they own the company or have a lot of responsibility within the company. But be assured that things can run smoothly even when you are not there. One way to make sure of this is to get online survey software. By having this software, you can know the complains, concerns, questions, and comments from not only your customers, but from your employees as well. And then it can be forwarded to the appropriate person–all while you are relaxing on the beach, in the mountains, or at a theme park.

Now, you won’t even have to worry about taking it all with you!

Keep Your Business Going…

even while you are on vacation. One of the easiest businesses to conduct if you are on vacation is selling online–especially if you use a dropshipper like Doba. This way, people can still order from you, but you don’t have to ship anything because they do it for you. They ship it directly from the warehouse to the customer. So sit back, relax, and know that your business is taken care of.
